The first step on your self-love journey
Self-love begins with self-awareness. You must be aware of who you are as a whole. This includes knowing your likes and dislikes, your strengths and weaknesses, your needs and desires, your dreams, your fears and insecurities, your beliefs and core values, etc. In order to know who you are, take some time to reflect on the different aspects of yourself. You could stay still, in silence, and ask yourself questions or sit down with a piece of paper or a journal to write down all of these details about yourself. I do both. I like taking time to be quiet and do some introspection and it is quite useful for me to write down what I discover about myself.
This is how you begin your self-love journey. Once you are self-aware, you can begin the work of self-acceptance. All this information you gather will be useful to you if you want to be authentic and live an authentic life.
