You treat yourself like s#*t and you expect better from others?

You treat yourself like s#*t and you expect others to treat you better? This is not to say that others should treat you exactly how you treat yourself. However, if you treat yourself like s#*t you are more likely to accept or tolerate the same from others because this is what you are familiar with. We live in a world where, though many people are good-hearted and kind, there are many beings who aren’t. This is one of the reasons why I emphasize so much the importance of self-love. When you love yourself, when you truly love yourself, you will want the best for yourself and treat yourself so well that when others don’t you notice it quickly and get rid of it. But, you must know what love is. If you never learned what love truly is, if you never saw it around you growing up, you must learn what love is. It’s your responsibility to unlearn what is harmful to you and learn what will make you happy, at peace, grow and prosper.

What is love?

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NLT)

You can learn what love is by doing some research on it, by asking people who radiate love and light, by trusting your intuition to show it to you, as it is something you can feel in your gut. Your gut tells you when something feels right or wrong.
